Congratulations to the doubles team of Bryan Bannach and Jon Schalow on their first MAST titles! Bannach and Schalow defeated Ken Duffield and Brian Hoffman in the final match to together win $832, while Duffield and Hoffman took home a total of $440 for second place.
Thirty-two double teams competed on the World 10-Pin Athens shot. A short pattern with very low volume played brutal on Lake Ripley’s wood lanes. The cut for the top 8 teams and match play was -84 for 8 games. All bowlers will receive 25 bonus points for competing on the challenge condition. Chad Kloss and Eric Fritton lead qualifying with 1656 and each will receive an additional 25 bonus points.
The tournament was sponsored by Lake Ripley Lanes and Badger Pro Shop. Lake Ripley’s break on lineage resulted in $128 going to the prize fund. They also donated two $20 drink packets to the drawing and offered up $100 to the first 300 bowled, although no honor scores were bowled for the day. Badger Pro Shop gave a DV8 Terror at cost to the drawing. The ball was won by Jeremy Porter and the drink packets were won by Ron Blanchar and Julie Crawford.
