Congratulation to Gail Myers Jr. and Derek Eoff on winning the MAST doubles title at Lake Ripley Lanes! They defeated Jeff Richgels and Chris Pounders in the final match, 458 to 409. Myers Jr./Eoff took home a combined total of $886 for the win and Richgels/Pounders received $468 together for second place.
Seventy bowlers turned out to bowl on the WTBA London pattern, which was one of the best turnouts at Lake Ripley Lanes in recent years. The challenge shot was playable on wood lanes which resulted in a pair of bowlers needing to each average 200 over their 4 games of qualifying to advance to match play. Myers Jr. and Eoff dominated the day leading qualifying with a combined score of 1783. Myers Jr. was the single lead qualifier bowling 930 over 4 games. He will receive 25 bonus points. Eoff had the only honor score of the day, a 300 during the semi-finals match. All bowlers will receive 25 bonus points for the challenge shot.
Lake Ripley Lanes and Badger Pro Shop sponsored the tournament. Lake Ripley Lanes added $138 to the prize fund from reduced lineage and three $12 drink packs to the drawing. A Storm Manic was donated at cost to the drawing by Badger Pro Shop. Chad Kloss won the ball, 2 drink packs were won by Scott Erickson and Dal Geitz won the last drinks.
