Eoff Wins Ten Pin Alley for Eighth MAST Title

Derek Eoff defeated Tony Oliva 258-194 to win the MAST event at Ten Pin Alley on Saturday. Eoff qualified second at 949, then dominated match play with 1045 including the day’s only honor count with 800 (267-275-258) over his last three matches en route to the win, his eighth career MAST title.

Eoff earned $700 for the win, with Oliva taking home $391 for second. The other match play payouts Saturday were $249 for 3rd-4th, $189 for 5th-8th, and $137 for 9th-16th. MAST also paid out one additional cash spot for 17th (Brent Ritchie – $77). Eoff also earned $105 from the Bet To Win pot.

Sixty-nine bowlers competed on a pair of challenge patterns: the 45-foot 2007 WTBA Women’s World Championships pattern on the left lanes, and the 35-foot Kegel Boardwalk pattern on the right lanes. The cut after four games of qualifying was 828. Andy Bunkoske led qualifying at 969, he will receive 25 bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race.

Jeff Richgels and 11thFrame.com sponsored this event, adding $300 to the tournament prize fund. Phoenix Pro Shop donated a Roto Grip Dare Devil Danger bowling ball, won by JoDon Thompson. Host center Ten Pin Alley provided a lineage discount, and also added four $10 gift cards, won by Chris Pounders (x2), Zack Green, and Chris Pollentier. Our final regular event of the 2017-2018 season will be at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson on Sunday, March 18th. The event will be Survivor finals format and will be contested on the 37-foot WTBA Melbourne oil pattern. We hope to see you all there.
