Forty-four bowlers completed on the 37-foot WTBA Melbourne oil pattern. The cut after four games of qualifying was 773. Jon Schalow led qualifying at 885, earning 25 bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race. The challenging condition yielded no honor counts on the day.
Tournament sponsor M & J Truck and Auto added $300 to the tournament prize fund. Rock River Lanes Pro Shop donated a Hammer Rip’D bowling ball, won by Chris Pounders. Host center Rock River Lanes provided a lineage discount, and donated four $10 gift cards, won by Pounders, Kelsie Bannach, Jay Heinzelman, and Mark Newkirk. Combined these added $413 to the tournament prize fund. MAST extends a huge Thank You to M & J Truck and Auto, Rock River Lanes, and Rock River Lanes Pro Shop for their generosity.
In the unofficial season totals, Chris Gibbons wins this year’s average title at 222.3906, and also finishes first in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race with 1,991 points.
