Ryan Zagar defeated Derek Eoff 256-187 to win the MAST event at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson Sunday. Zagar qualified sixth at 852, then followed that up with 903 over four rounds of match play en route to the win. This was Zagar’s second career MAST title.
Zagar earned $679 for the win, with Eoff taking home $375 for second. The other match play payouts Sunday were $240 for 3rd-4th, $181 for 5th-8th, and $140 for 9th-16th. Zagar also earned $145 from the Bet To Win pot.
Sixty-six bowlers competed on the WTBA Athens oil pattern currently in use by Rock River’s challenge league. The cut after four games of qualifying was 827. Cody Roedner led qualifying at 927, he receives twenty-five bonux points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race for his effort. There were no honor scores during the day Sunday.
Tour co-sponsor M & J Truck and Auto Repair added $300 to the prize fund for this event. Rock River Lanes Pro Shop donated a Storm Crux Prime bowling ball, won by Gail Myers. Host center Rock River Lanes also provided a lineage discount and added two $10 gift cards, won by Don Benner and Chris Pollentier. Combined proceeds resulted in $675 added to the tournament’s prize fund. MAST extends a huge Thank You to M & J Truck and Auto and Rock River Lanes for their generosity.
Our next event is at Spartan Bowl in McFarland on Saturday, March 7th at 11:30am. That event will be contested on Spartan’s house pattern & will feature Survivor finals format.
