Trevor Habich defeated Hunter Maly 255-233 to win the MAST event at Dream Lanes in Madison Sunday, earning his third career title.

Habich finished qualifying tied with Mark Snyder for 15th-16th at 924, with Snyder receiving the #15 seed by virtue of high qualifying game (246-245). Habich went on to average over 245 through his four matches en route to the win.

Maly qualified eleventh at 956, then averaged 255 including games of 279 and 299 in winning his first three matches to reach the final. He was seeking his first career MAST title.

Habich earned $661 for the win, with Maly taking home $378 for second. The other match play payouts Sunday were $236 for 3rd-4th, $157 for 5th-8th, and $126 for 9th-16th. Habich also received $100 from the Bet to Win pot.

Fifty-six bowlers competed on the 2023 Wisconsin State USBC Open Team pattern. Derek Eoff opened qualifying with a 300 game on the way to leading his second event this season at 997, earning him fifty bonus points in our Pabst Points Race. Ryan Zagar also shot 300 in his third qualifying game.

Knight Design Services of DeForest was our title sponsor for this event, donating $300 to the prize fund. Storm donated a 900 Global Cove bowling ball at cost, won by Zagar.
