Dylon Wilde and Devon Boeck defeated Gail Myers and Derek Eoff 467-432 to win the MAST doubles event at Middleton Sport Bowl Saturday. This is the second title for both bowlers and the second for Wilde this season.

Wilde & Boeck qualified fourth at 1,892 and survived a close semifinal match 426-425 against Tony Oliva and Chris Hill to reach the title match. Myers & Eoff qualified third at 1,937 and averaged over 229 through their first two matches to reach the final. They were seeking their eighteenth and fifteenth career titles respectively.

Wilde & Boeck earned $1,006 for the win, with Myers & Eoff taking home $684 for second. The other match-play payouts Saturday were $384 for 3rd-4th and $252 for 5th-8th. MAST also paid out two additional cash spots, going to Chad Kuehmichel and Chris Jackson (9th – $144), and Tim Janz and Andy Bunkoske (10th – $142). Wilde & Boeck also earned $170 from the Bet to Win pot.

Eighty bowlers competed on Sport Bowl’s house pattern. The cut after eight games of qualifying was 1,867. Cody Ramsden and Brent Ritchie led qualifying at 1,956. The high individual qualifier was Jon Schalow at 1,063, earning him an extra twenty-five points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race. Despite the high scoring pace, there was only one honor count Saturday, with Derek Eoff shooting 300 to open the afternoon qualifying squad.

Tour co-sponsor Bob Holzbauer and Phoenix Pro Shop donated a Roto Grip TNT bowling ball at cost, won by Matt Mysliwiec. Host center Sport Bowl added four $10 gift cards, won by Chris Pounders, Gail Myers, Matt Pursell, and Tony Thaden. Total proceeds resulted in $468 added to the prize fund for this event. MAST extends a huge Thank You to Phoenix Pro Shop and Middleton Sport Bowl for their generosity.
