Congratulations to Tristian Albrecht for winning the 2025-2026 MAST Pabst Light Year End Championship at Spartan Bowl in McFarland on Saturday. Albrecht defeated top seed Mike Hoffman 535-439 to claim his third title of the season.

Albrecht qualified sixth at 1,396, and averaged over 242 through four rounds of two-game matches to earn the win.

Hoffman led qualifying at 1,491 including the day’s only honor count with a 300 in game two, earning him a first-round bye in match play, and averaged 256 in his first two matches to reach the final. He was seeking his twenty-sixth career MAST title and fourth this season, which also would have been a MAST record sixth career title at one center.

Albrecht earned $1,500 for the win, with Hoffman taking home $1,000 for second. The other match play payouts Saturday were $750 for 3rd-4th, $400 for 5th-8th, and $250 for 9th-12th. MAST also paid four additional cash spots at $150 each.

Forty bowlers competed on the 39-foot Kegel Tungsten oil pattern. Danny Verdecchia recovered from a 159 game by shooting 705 over his final three qualifying games to climb from 27th to the twelfth and final match play spot at 1,327, then won his first two matches before falling to Hoffman in the semifinals.

MAST also recognized the top ten bowlers in this season’s Pabst Points Race. Mike Hoffman won the points title with 1,962 points, earning him $500. Derek Eoff finished second with 1,951 points, winning $400. The rest of the top ten were Chris Gibbons (1,740 – $300), Chris Pounders (1,623 – $200), Chris Jackson (1,594 – $180), Ethan Jones (1,580 – $160), Brent Ritchie (1,507 – $140), Matt Pursell (1,426 – $120), Trevor Habich (1,344 – $110), and Joe Johnson (1,340 – $100).
