Devon Boeck and Dylon Wilde defeated Dakota Wiltrout and Justin Petrey 444-384 to win the MAST doubles event at Prairie Lanes in Sun Prairie Sunday. Boeck and Wilde each earned their third career MAST titles and second doubles titles with the win.
Boeck and Wilde earned $864 for the win, with Wiltrout and Petrey taking home $586 for second. The other match play payouts Sunday were $344 for 3rd-4th and $232 for 5th-8th. MAST also paid one additional cash spot, with $132 going to Ron Blanchar and Mike Hoffman for ninth (1,695). Boeck and Wilde also earned $180 from the Bet to Win pot.
Thirty-seven doubles teams competed on Prairie’s house shot. The cut after eight total games of qualifying was 1,699 by Trevor Habich and Shaun Taliaferro, who combined for 484 in their final qualifying game to climb fifteen spots and grab the #8 seed. Kevin Morrical and Dan Haufschild led qualifying wire-to-wire at 1,855; Hausfchild was the high individual qualifier at 985, earning him fifty bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race. There were no honor counts posted during the day Sunday.
Tour co-sponsor Ten Pin Alley Pro Shop donated a 900 Global Origin bowling ball at cost, won by Chris Pounders. Host center Prairie Lanes added three $10 gift cards, won by Andy Bunkoske (x2) and Mark Newkirk. Total proceeds resulted in $164 added to the prize fund for this event. Our next event is a singles event at Spartan Bowl in McFarland on Sunday, November 24th at 11:30am. This event will be contested on the 40-foot 2024 USBC Senior Championships oil pattern, and will feature Survivor finals format. King Pin Management will be adding $100 to the prize fund for this event. We hope to see you all there.
