Forty-four bowlers competed on the 2024 Senior USBC Championships oil pattern. The cut after four games of qualifying was 832. Gabe Roderick shot 976 to lead qualifying for the second time in our last four events, having also led qualifying at Viking Lanes in October; he earns another fifty bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race. There were no honor counts posted during the day Sunday; Otto Meccia provided the only near-miss with a 299 game to open qualifying.
The tournament’s prize fund was bolstered by donations from tour co-sponsor M & J Truck and Auto and host center Spartan Bowl totaling $393. MAST extends a huge Thank You to M & J Truck and Auto and Spartan Bowl for their generosity.
Our next tournament will be a singles event at Watertown Bowl 18 in Watertown on Sunday, December 8th. Qualifying starts at 11:30am. That event will be contested on Watertown Bowl 18’s house pattern, and will feature Match Play finals. We hope to see you all there.
