Ritchie Wins Prairie For Second Straight Title

Brent Ritchie defeated Chris Pollentier 225-210 to win the MAST event at Prairie Lanes in Sun Prairie Saturday.

Ritchie qualified fifth at 864 and averaged 222 through three rounds of match play en route to the win. This was his second straight title, following up his first career title at Ten Pin Alley in November.

Ritchie earned $419 for the win, with Pollentier taking home $287 for 2nd. The other match-play payouts Saturday were $193 for 3rd-4th and $150 for 5th-8th. Ritchie also earned $95 from the Bet To Win pot.

Thirty-three bowlers competed on the 44-foot Kegel Titanium oil pattern. The cut after four games of qualifying was 851. Cody Roedner led qualifying at 922, he earns twenty-five bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race. There were no honor counts on the day Saturday.

Tour co-sponsor Bob Holzbauer and Phoenix Pro Shot donated a Roto Grip Idol Helios at cost, won by Roedner. Host center Prairie Lanes added three $10 gift cards, won by Roedner, Ron Blanchar, and Paul Ridenour. Total proceeds resulted in $338 added to the prize fund for this event. Our next event will be a split-squad doubles tournament at Middleton Sport Bowl on Saturday, January 8th. Squad times are 10:00am and 1:30pm. That event will be contested on Sport Bowl’s house pattern and will be Survivor finals. Teams can reserve a spot on the MAST Facebook page. We hope to see you all there.
