Meadows Wins First Career MAST Title at Rock River

Garrett Meadows defeated Tyler McNutt 232-173 to win the MAST event at Rock River Lanes in Fort Atkinson Sunday. Both bowlers were seeking their first MAST title, and continued the trend with six of our twelve champions earning their first career title this season.

Meadows qualified eighth at 860, then averaged just shy of 220 in his four matches en route to the win. McNutt shot 258 in his final qualifying game to finish at 865, climbing from 14th to sixth, and averaged over 215 through his first three rounds of match play to make the final.

Meadows earned $400 for the win, with McNutt taking home $283 for second. The other match play payouts Sunday were $!69 for 3rd-4th, $138 for 5th-8th, and $107 for 9th-12th.

Forty-two bowlers competed on the 2021 USBC Open Championships Team Event oil pattern. The cut after four games of qualifying was 841. Chad Svendsen led qualifying at 914, earning him twenty-five bonus points in the M & J Truck and Auto Points Race.

Rock River Pro Shop donated a Motiv Trident Odyssey bowling ball, won by Kevin Punzel. Host center Rock River Lanes added three $10 gift cards, won by Kevin O’Brien, Chad Svendsen, and Carly Zimmerman. Total proceeds resulted in $280 added to the prize fund for this event. MAST extends a huge Thank You to Rock River Pro Shop and Rock River Lanes for their generosity.
