Pounders qualified second at 895, and averaged over 261 over four rounds of match play en route to the win.

Vater qualified twelfth at 841, and averaged over 210 through his first three matches to reach the final. This was Vater’s second straight title match, after picking up his first career MAST title at Prairie Lanes earlier this month.

Pounders earned $604 for the win, with Vater taking home $345 for second. The other match play payouts Saturday were $216 for 3rd-4th, $144 for 5th-8th, and $115 for 9th-16th. Pounders also claimed $95 from the Bet to Win pot.

Forty-seven bowlers competed on the 2025 Junior Gold Match Play pattern. The cut after four games of qualifying was 818. Mike Kicmal led qualifying at 912, earning him fifty bonus points in the Pabst Points Race. There were no honor counts posted during the day Saturday; Pounders had the only close call with 298 to open match play.

Matt Maly and the Maly Family served as event sponsor, adding $300 to the tournament prize fund. Storm Bowling provided a 900 Global Vengeance Returns bowling ball, won by Brittany Pollentier. Host center Dream Lanes added three $15 gift cards, won by Kicmal, Jeff Prein, and Chris Pounders. Combined proceeds resulted in $525 added to the prize fund for this event. MAST extends a huge Thank You to the Maly Family, Storm Bowling, and Dream Lanes for their generosity.
